passionate about crafting

I feel that my purpose has always been to create change through the lenses of performative art and music. My goal is to elicit emotional reactions and therefore, sensical alterations to audience members’ prior opinions regarding the social issues and activism I work to bring to light in my theatrical experiences. As an artist who identifies with multiple minority identities, I feel constantly under review, awaiting the go-ahead from cisgender, heteronormative, white, male-bodied people. The creative world must hold space for us, and I believe I have the potential to be an integral part of the revolution stemming from defying and creating change by working from the inside, experiencing the human rights violations we deal with as a community founded on the backs of the “others”, like myself, and reigning in a more inclusive era for our artistic practices.
